I began to study nutrition out of personal necessity in 1990, when, in college, I was diagnosed with Chronic active Epstein-Barr Virus (CAEBV). I did not believe the prognosis made by the medical community that this would be the beginning of my decline; that I would most likely become resistant to therapy, develop progressive immunodeficiency, and succumb to opportunistic infections or lymphoproliferative disease.

Autodidactic by nature, I sought out books and people who could help me on my way. I adopted a holistic diet, made improvements to my mindset, learned better lifestyle habits, and added supplements to my diet. My doctors were shocked when I had completely regained my health in a fraction of the time they told me was possible.

However, CAEBV was not my only stumbling block. It was merely a wake-up call. I am also a survivor of incest, several sexual assaults as a young adult, and the youngest child of a large toxic family.

This combination of stressors left me depressed, dissociated and dysfunctional on many levels. I sought therapy when I found myself simply unable to cope effectively. My therapist suggested I take Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors for my depression, but I knew that that was not the path for me. I knew that the only way out of my mess was through it, and again, I forged my own way on my journey toward health.

I was fortunate enough to find myself in a relationship with someone who had studied personally with great minds such as renowned hypnotherapist Milton Erickson, widely respected  philosopher and creator of  the “Focusing”  method, Eugene Gendlin,  and esteemed psychologist and humanist Carl Rogers. Learning about their work gave me a great foundation for healing my own life, I later became personal friends with James A. Hall, a well known Jungian Analyst and, psychophysiologist, R. Patton Howell. I was so inspired by their work that, after they passed away, I found myself delving deeper into the areas of emotional well being, spirituality and the mind-body connection. It took me a long time, because I had to piece much of it together for myself, but eventually, I recovered not only from my physical issues, but also from my emotional ones.

All of this was taking place as I was going about my life as a professional violinist, a career upon which I had embarked at the tender age of 4, which lasted almost 45 years. While I remain passionate about music, I have always felt a pull toward the areas of emotional health, nutrition, spirituality, communication and how these all interplayed with one another in the creation of overall wellness. Once I became a mother, I also found myself drawn to understanding the world of pregnancy, natural birth and how the prenatal and perinatal experience can shape a child’s future.

In 2013, I set out to discover just exactly how I could use what I had been though to help others. It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I have collected a number of highly effective tools and techniques that enable you to redirect your life. I founded Liberty Brain Training, LLC in 2015, but found that focusing primarily on neurofeedback was not using my skills to my client’s highest good. I dissolved that company in 2018 and now work under my own name. Watching clients have  “lightbulb” moments and step into their personal power is so incredibly fulfilling. I could not ask for a more rewarding opportunity to connect with my fellow travelers in this lifetime than helping them on their journey to becoming their best self.

I would love to hear where you are in relationship with your body, your mind, the food you eat, your spirituality, your road to building a healthy family or your life as a musician.  Let’s explore your goals and the possible ways to get you there. Schedule a complimentary call with me here.

With Love,

Wynne

What if we all agreed that “I don’t know…” is not an answer, but an invitation to discover? What would happen then?
